Project One

Creating this website for project one has opened my eyes to a new world. Knowing this is just the first project of many, I am proud of what I have done for this website. From the beginning the skills we have learned in class and in free code camp have given me a grasp on how everything works. It wasn’t until now, after the project is over, that I realize the practice goes a long way and for myself it did exactly that. I could process concepts and do tasks individually but creating from scratch I had to really put everything I knew into use. I feel very confident in adding images (adjusting them and modifying them to be aesthetically pleasing in the website), creating content in a visually pleasing manner, and applying new concepts from outside sources that helped me put my final touches on my site.

In this process I have had periods of stubbornness, when I would have something not work out the way I would want. Through trial and error I was able to figure out on my own and fix a lot of my mistakes, but I think the process has instilled this confidence in me now to where I am a little less confused and lost and ready to learn more. The first few days I struggled a lot with adjusting the body and adding the navigation bar. I wanted to have all of the cool aspects and I decided to make it stick to the top of the page as I scroll as well as color changes on a hove. After a lot of trial and error and a couple youtube videos I got it to where I would like it. I am proud of making subtle aspects appear to make it well formed such as box-shadows, underlines, and title placements. Although it is not the most advanced looking website, I believe with accumulation of all the little things I achieved, I am proud of the product of my project one.
